Good Morning still, hehe!

So as some of you may know a month ago or so Kristy aka Princess house was flooded, well on Saturday she rang me and it had started again.  I told her to get straight onto SES as her hubby is away with the army for a MONTH!  Her neighbors, sisters and SES all came to help her and stopped it from getting in the house.  And cut loooong story short my hubby said why don’t you go and surprise her *sweetest hubby in the world isn’t he*, she could use the company, so I text her saying could I ring her really late, like 10.30 pm and she said yeah course I can, and instead I showed up on her door step….. She was soooo excited and better yet I bought chocolate, hehe!

So before that, I had only just made my Magnolia Down Under Challenges card, had no time to take photos and the weather here was DARK and yucky the photos looked shocking.  The blog post was all over the place so when we woke Sunday morning, Kristy added my photo for me and we fixed up the blog as the font would NOT behave itself, lol and was going MASSIVE instead of just large, lol.  No matter how much we both played with it….

Any ways just reminder we have moved the challenge blog to HERE….

The sponsor this week is one of my FAVOURITE paper shops that I can not stop myself but for wanting more and more and the postage is always super quick and parcels packed to perfection, the sponsor is…….
They not only have a wide range of papers, but buttons, flowers, ribbons….. The list is absolutely endless and Anna is going to kindly sponsor a $20 VOUCHER for her store…..WHOO HOO….

Whats the challenge this week? It’s a gorgeous recipe theme this week for you all….

  • 3 Papers, 3 Flowers, 2 Buttons & 1 Bow….

I know even I hated myself after trying to make this card for the 4th time all week, bahahaha!  But hey whats a challenge if it’s NOT just that?!  And I mixed it with the YUMMY stamp I got from Magnolia YIPPEE was so excited when my DT pack arrived…

So the challenge over at Just Magnolia is….

This is simple, EVERYONE can join in with this one I am sure of it!  And this is the card I have came up with….

Guest JM Card & Magnolia DT Card...

Hello Everyone :)

Well I must admit when I was given the challenges from Bev at Just Magnolia for my guest spot for January I loved them, then I looked at this one a little more and started to panic, haha.  I was almost going to throw in the towel and then Kristy said to me, you always say, a sketch is what you make it and a guide.  After that I got and idea and an hour later a card was made and I was happy to have not thrown in the towel, ta Princess :)

So as you guessed, haha, the challenge over at Just Magnolia is a sketch, and it looks like this…..

Hi there Everyone,

How are we all?  Glad it’s the weekend?  Well almost I always classified Friday as the start of the weekend even when I was working because “usually” Fridays would be so laid back and no one cared because it was the weekend!

So anyways this will be a quick one as I am sitting here typing this to schedule for about 7.30pm when it’s really 1pm, lol, the joys of having the schedule button and should be on my way to Kristy’s for our craft non stop weekend, where she will make me coffee after coffee ;) lol YEAH right I’ll be lucky to see one.

The Challenge over at Just Magnolia this week is….

  • Thank You….

There is just so many things you can do with this and I am 100% sure the DT over at Just Magnolia will knock your socks off with inspiration as always!  Here is the way I saw the challenge…..

Guest DT Just Magnolia

Magnolia Stamp : Edwin.

Papers : My Minds Eye, October Afternoon, Kraft and Brown.

Other : Distress Inks, Buttons, String and White Gel Pen.

I struggled a little because I always do with boy based cards and I wanted to go for simple yet effective like I have seen on many talented blogging girlfriends cards.

Be sure to jump on over to Just Magnolia and check out the DT and join in with the challenge.  It’s one for all I think!

Happy stamping! Thanks so much for stopping by and take care xx.

Good Afternoon All,

Bit late with my post you’ll have to excuse that, I was also a bit late with the card.  I forgot my list of “Things 2 Make” when I went camping and got back Thursday lunch time instead of Friday morning, cause I didn’t want to be running around getting ready to go to JB and unpacking and washing blah blah waffle……  Turns out I thought the challenge for Just Magnolia was next week uhhh no and I found out Friday morning when I checked the list “just in case” thank goodness Bev was understanding, I felt awful for beng so late, but got a card inn just in the nick of time.  And just made my train in time too!

I am SO excited to be doing my first guest challenge with Just Magnolia, so much talent was a tad daunting, lol.  So the Special Monthly Challenge over at Just Magnolia is “Paper Pleating” set by the oh so talented DT member Mina.  The instructions are all on the challenge blog HERE….. and they are so easy to follow.  NOW I didn’t find paper pleating that easy, so there is only a small amount on my card, but check out the other DT HERE….. WOW amazing!  And because it’s not the easiest thing to do, but we know you can do it, Heidi for Simon Says is sponsoring a $25 voucher and offering to pay the postage costs too!  You have nothing to lose and paper to pleat…. So get pleating!  Here is my version of the challenge….

Magnolia Stamps : Cutie from Winter Kit.

Papers and Cardstock : My Minds Eye, Kraft and Brown.

Distress Inks : Tattered Rose, Antique Linen, Aged Mahogany, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Brushed Corduroy and Frayed Burlap.

Other : Cream Lace, Black and Cream Ribbon, White Gel Pen, Dollie and Bizzy Becs Pearls.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the amazing DT creations HERE…. If you haven’t already.

Well as some of you may have read I went to see John Butler last night OMG it was absolutely amazing!  My feet were killing from standing for so long but I so didn’t care, we ended up being pretty close and I just LOVED it will be going back again when he tours.  Will be back with photos and more later on.

Thanks so much for stopping by and take care xx.

How slack am I…. Didn’t even put a card up for Magnolia Down Under’s Challenge and I set this challenge!!  What happened was…………I lost my mojo and with all the stress of Christmas I think it all got a little to much for the card.  I did make one but was really un-happy with it.  But Princess thinks it looks fine, that and I wanted to make another one but thats not going to happen, have other DT work to get done.  And I didn’t want you all to miss out on the AMAZING prize!  So the challenge is…

  • Stamp with Another Use….?

WHAT your saying?  Well for example to take a Christmas ‘based’ magnolia and make it a birthday card.  Take a Halloween based stamp and make it a Christmas card.  Still not sure?  Check out the amazing work from the DT HERE…..

Here is my version….

What stamp did I use?  The presents from the Christmas range!  They are perfect for birthday cards….

Magnolia Stamps : Cake Slice, Recipe Card, Presents, and Edwin from Winter Kit.

Card Stock and Pattern Paper : Kraft, Magnolia Blue Plaid, Pink Plaid and Candy paper.

Distress Inks : Antique Linen, Ages Mahogany, Tattered Rose, Dusty Corduroy, Frayed Burlap and Vintage Photo.

Other : Cream Lace, White Gel Pen, Leaves – Bizzy Becs Online Store, Magnolia Flowers and digi ticket.

I think I tried to go too far out of the box with Edwin in pink, and it most likely goes against all the rules having a boy dressed in pink, bahaha.  But as a girlfriend of mine once got told by a man wearing pink, it’s not pink, it’s Salmon……right…..ok?! lol!

OH almost forgot here is the prize… 1st prize ONE of these personalised stamps….

untitled

2nd Prize….Gift Voucher of $10 donated by Debbie Pamment… For Magnolia Down Under Store.

3rd Prize a paper pack, cut to 5.5″ x 5.5″ with 12 sheets.Lazy Summer

And you have almost a month to get your entries in while we have a break!

Thanks so much for stopping by and take care xx.

p.s Exciting News Coming Soon…
