Smashing with Twine

So it seems that the issues with my blog are almost there.  Still a few little glitches here and there, but some people that had not been able to see it, can finally see it.  And because of this I have so much blogging to catch up on and can even feel some creativity coming back.

I have been going through some old photos or old scrapbooking I don’t YONKS ago, before we had Chloe even and Heidi was a baby, so long ago it seems now.  I have pulled some pages apart just so I can use the photos again.  This is one photo I have wanted to use for a while.

Here are the pages I did in my mini SMASH* book, I did this to showcase how you can use twine in your smashbook, because if you ask me it’s the perfect touch.  I was meant to blog this a little while back and you may of seen it on the Twinery blog.  But it was in the heart of all the blog issues and stress….  ENOUGH of that, here it is….

Who said you can’t use pink on a guy page, haha.  I was actually there because I used it on the other page, but it still seemed to suit.  I also used a few things from The Paper Bakery kit.  If I had to sit and name where everything came from I think I might be here a while.  But there is a bit of Typo going on in there as well as Freckles & Pigtails.

I love the twirl look, like it has just fallen on the page.  I have found staples are perfect for keeping those loops in place…

I used the gorgeous coloured twine, Cappuccino that is perfect for the vintage feel I have going on with both pages.  And even my type writer decided to play up, but it still suited the idea I was going with.  The photo is of my dad, before I was even born I am pretty sure.

Still many things to catch up on, hope I don’t go and over clog your dashboards, xo.

  1. It’s awesome Kellie! I love the way you used the twine (I really need to get some!) and the key is a fab idea, I have so many old keys lying around, I must put them to some use! The mini envelope is so cute too :) Love it!!!

  2. What a fun way to use the twine. I love that you’re using staples to hold it in place.
