Do you have one or some? We all or well some of us make New Years Resolutions and some we stick to and others we don’t. I have never really been one for them as I used to always set them and always break them within a month into the New Year….. BUT this year I am setting myself a few crafting/blogging New Years Resolutions…
- To use a group of papers and use on several cards before moving on… (so far going good, just hope you don’t get sick of seeing the same papers in several posts.)
- To not keep every scrap, as I am shocking and keep the smallest amounts and when I do the clean up I always throw them away in the end!
- To not buy more than what I need……Stamps NOT included, bahaha….. By this I mean not to go out and buy a bulk load of paper when I already have a BULK load already, basically use what I have then buy!
- To make more of an effort and set some time aside each night or every second night to just comment and check out all the amazing talent out there….
So I ask…….Do you have any?
I would love to hear them…. I might even have a little random prize to give away to a lucky lady that replies!?
Thanks so much for stopping by and take care xx.

I dont have many interesting ones! No craft ones except NO random impulse buys. But this doesn’t count now as I broke it today, hehe.
My other ones are to eat Healthy (which will get broken), Spend less time on my laptop, Start driving lessons, Try and get out more. Right now my Try and Get out more resolution is not happening as it’s snowing which is becoming ice and pushing a pram in snow and ice without falling is not possible for me!!
Nope – I don’t so NY resolutions – am old enough now to realise I NEVER keep them so why bother – LOL. If I did make one it would have to be one I wanted to break so there would be no surprise when I did – how dumb is THAT – LOL
xXx
My main one is to work on being helathy and getting my body back! And my other one….has kinda already happened as you know shhhhh.

Nah! none for me, but I do like yours just to add make at least one card using the stamps I already have I would be able to make at least 40 different cards that’s just with the magnolia stamps..lol!! hate to think how many more others I could make with the rest of my collection.
No, No, No. Buy, Buy, Buy. I have always put the family 1st and have let myself go. I made a resolution last year to get healthy and I did. A bit of stress at the end of last year and I broke so I’m going to do that one again as it worked and I felt great. As for my craft? Well I have a stash of papers too that I always say to use 1st but isn’t there always nicer stuff that you just have to have? Oooh and some exciting news.. I have my 1st Magnolia stamps heading my way. Yeah I know, what the?

Mine are:
do my ironing before the next lot of washing goes in
Get up earlier so more organised getting son to school
Try to always visit bloggers who visit me (spend far too much time crafting not enough time commenting)
Love all your craft ones, hope you manage to stick to them! hugs, Jane xx
My NEw Years Craft Resolution is to get published in a magazine. I’m working on that this year. I need to start submitting, I always get discouraged.
I don’t usually set any NY resolutions but a few things that pop to mind:
*spend more time crafting and less time on computer
*update my poor neglected blog more regularly
*collect more magnolia stamps (now that will be hard!!!!)
*use up a heap of the paper I already have and THEN buy more
Hmmm… the paper one is good, but I know I could never do it. I think i will procrastinate less when it comes to buying stamps, I always think about it too long and when I finally decide yup, I want it!… it’s sold out
So no procrastination = no dissappointment and then being a grumpy bum for the rest of the day (I’m such a sook, lol)
cool resolutions Kel! Hope you keep them!
me… lose more weight, craft more, blog more… and actually send out cards I make!
that will do I think!

Hmmmmmm, okay, I like yours, and as for people getting sick of the same papers, well, just blog them in different intervals. Mine are juts things that need to happen, not necesarily resolutions, get less giggly, I am a flab factory as of late, I don’t want to lose X amount of pounds but I don’t want to look like jello anymore, start keeping better communication with old friends and fam on facebook &/or myspace, blarg!! Last year I resolved NOT to be on the net that much, hahahahaha, stay timely with the cards and projects and know when it is just too damn late not to bother anymore…. Decorate the inside as soon as the outside is done, to stop being such a follow ho, mmmmmmmm, to go to the doctors when it is practical instead of avoiding it. That it? Hmmmmm, yes, I think so.
I have enough trouble sticking to the grocery list let alone a New Years Resolution!! I would love to enjoy more family time this year… improve my health… and call my friends more than I do! Bread, Milk, Cold Meat… check, check, check… wait! What about the chocolate? See what I mean! Hope you had a great camping trip… was it hot? It’s hot up here along the Murray I can tell you. And I’m at home under the air con! Good luck with your resolutions! x
love your creations. They are really beautiful and inspiring.
My only resolution this year is to spend more time with my only baby boy who is 1 year old now.
Hi Kellie,
Your question had perfect timing, as I have been giving some thought to my New Year’s Resolutions lately.
I made a scrapping book page which you can see here if you would like to take a look.
Alicia xx
Hi Kellie
The usual ones, lose weight and more exercise.
Also try to use my old stash and try to do more layouts using all the photos I have taken.
Hugs Ali x
PS Good luck with yours
I’m not normally a NY resolution kinda girl….just not my way. BUT, 2010 started a little differently. I made a decision to put myself first in terms of looking after myself better…..Day 10…not doing too badly, I must say.
And after a couple of very trying years with family stuff, etc. I’m hoping for a year with less bad stuff and lots more good stuff.
I didn’t really set any crafty goals this year except to perhaps participate in some challenges. Maybe not every week…..but maybe once a fortnight (or once a month if life gets too busy). I haven’t done any crafting since Chistmas Eve (I know…SHOCKING) but I really need to get in and clean my house first!! And I’ve done it. Was a mammoth job – sorted kitchen cupboards & pantry, laundry cupboards, linen cupboards, bathroom cupboards and then pull everything out of the builtin and all the drawers in my room (which is my bedroom, closet, craft room, photo studio, computer room all in one!!) and get that sorted and organised. DONE!! Phew!! I really feel like I’ve got my head on straight now and am sooooo glad its done. A fresh new year.
Now I don’t have to feel guilty that my new, as-yet-uninked stamps are desperately calling out for some attention. I plan to get crafty a few nights this week……back to work tomorrow after holidays and need to settle into that routine again. We’ll see how things go.
Anyways…..enough dribbling from me!! Mwah.
Great resolutions Kellie. Mine are pretty much the same as yours although I am awful for impulse buying.. I’ve got no control when I see new Magnolia’s anyway and now all their new papers and flowers… eeeeek!!
We should set up a support group, lol!!
I think mine are to post to the blog regularly (doing well so far!), use my scraps, not just have them sit, and try as many different techniques as I can.
Not a New Years resolution as such but I am going to TRY not buy things that I’ll only use once and then never use again!!! I’m pretty good at that…. I would like to try and use all the papers I have also rather than buying more and forgetting about all the other stuff…. Let’s see how I get on..LOL
