DT Stampin’ for the Weekend mixed with 2 Hour Challenge

Hello Fellow Bloggers,

Yep you read right “DT” and some of you might had seen on the Stampin for the Weekend blog but I wanted to save  it till it was my first challenge as a DT member for Stampin for the Weekend…WHOO HOO.  I was sooooooo excited when Kimmi asked me, to be on a team with a bunch of amazingly talented crafters I feel so honored!  And I loved this one….

  • New Beginnings….

New Home, New Baby, Wedding, New Year Wishes even a Birthday, it’s really how you see it.  And the prize your all playing for?….

$25 shopping voucher

And you all must be wondering what is with the 2 hour power challenge…. or not, lol.  But Kristy aka Princess (check out her amazing TGF sketch entries) and I since the holidays have basically spent a lot of our crafting time chatting on the phone for hours or chatting on line and we thought why not set a challenge making us stop talking for 5 min and create, hehe….  So we got 2 hours to do it, and I made a sketch, next one is Kristy’s turn…. This is the sketch…

Power 2 hour, lol...

NOW I have to warn you my card is a little different and you may notice why when you look at if you read my waffles often…

NO MAGNOLIA STAMP………..WHAT? No not sick, hehehe just fell in love with this cutie from All That Scraps designed by Amy Young and HAD to have her.  I was a bit worried being a water colour person that she might be a bit tricky but we got along fine, haha… And was a lot easier with the fine tip Aqua Painter.

Stamps : Sweet November Stamp – and Sentiment Stampin’ Up!

Card Stock and Pattern Paper : Kraft, Brown, My Minds Eye.

Distress Inks : Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo, Antique Linen, Tattered Rose and Frayed Burlap.

Other : Cream Lace *My Fav!*, Charm, Check Ribbon, Rhinestones, Magnolia Flowers, Dollie, Leaves *Bizzy Becs*, Basic Grey Pearls *From prize from Simon Says* and White Gel Pen.

Be sure to pop on over and check out the other Design Team and their amazing work and how they saw the challenge, inspiration for EVERYONE!

Thanks so much for stopping by and take care xx.

WOW, Kellie, this is gorgeous. Whatever image you choose to colour, you make each and every one of your cards a work of art. Awesome colouring with your distress ink. Terrific job in distressing your paper edges. Love your card.

I’m in shock, is this the right blog…? It is so strange to see you using a stamp other than a magnolia, but your card is stunning as always, and the sketch is awesome. i have some papers and a coloured stamp sitting on my desk mocking me, so maybe I shall borrow this sketch, it looks perfect :)

Congrats on your DT position. How excitement!! I suggested to Kristy that you girls should open the 2 hour challenge to everyone. I know I need a push to finish a card! And look what you’ve done under the pressure, you didn’t use a Magnolia stamp!! Your card is great and it’s lovely to see you use something different and so well too!
