Monday, February 8th, 2010

Hi there Everyone,

How are we all today?  Today was my little girls, well middle girl, hehe,  official full day of kindergarten and I just wanted to share a photo I took the other week when she went for half the day in her uniform with her little sister……

Heidi and Chloe

They both love this photo, but then again they love all photos of themselves….. hehe, wonder where they get that from, *looks around the room.*

So today I have a card for you made with another cutie from the C.C Designs Spring Kit.  I’m not usually a boy person card maker, no wait did that make sense, mmmm any ways, haha.  There is something about the Sugarplum boys that I find them easier to use than other boy stamps.

This is for my Stamp with Fun DT card and this week we have a challenge that I am sure you will agree is easy to play along with….  As it’s the month for love, reds and flowers this week we have the theme….

  • Hearts.

Can be a stamp, pattern on the papers, etc the skies the limits.  Be sure to jump on over and check out the rest of the amazing creations and cards the DT came up with, something to get every one’s heart going, hehe sorry couldn’t help it!

It’s also for my very first DT card with The Pink Elephant .WHOO HOO Lori asked me the other week and I have done everything not to blurt it out there.  TPEdtbanner_rlwI’m so excited to be working with an extremely talented bunch of ladies.  The girls have been amazing and so welcoming.  Back to the challenge at hand that is….

  • Mushy Gushy.

And I was stuck, for a bit I must admit I had in my head what I wanted to do but how….?  So I used the sketch over at Create 4 Fun…

380161964I like to think I pretty much stuck to the rules on this one, don’t you think, hehe?

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #31…

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Good Morning Everyone,

Well finally I have the challenge up this morning with the help of Kristy, I came down with a really shocking headache last night that stopped me from scheduling the challenge post.  As some of you may had read, my head ache started lightly Friday and just kept getting worse till last night was a doozie, was in bed by 10pm and for me that is super early on a Saturday night.  I  still feel a tad light headed, having little dizzy spells but fingers crossed the worst of it has been and gone!

The challenge over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges today is a good one we are asking 3 things of you with this one and did you know that we are now going back to weekly challenges?  You can find all the info on the challenge blog… So we are asking…

  • Girlie Card
  • Orange
  • And a sketch….

Sketch

Here is what I managed to come up with yesterday while trying to ignore the throbbing.  Doesn’t a head ache know that it’s taking up precious crafting time!? Hehehe…..

MDUC

Magnolia Stamps : Wrapped Tilda and Sentiment.

Other Stamp : C.C Designs Spring Kit Swing.

Digital : The Cutting Cafe : Sweet Background… Sponsor

Distress Inks : Tattered Rose, Dried Marigold, Worn Lipstick, Aged Mahogany, Frayed Burlap, Fired Brick, Antique Linen, Brushed Cordury and Spiced Marmalade.

Unfortunatley my batteries in my camera were going flat to, you know the ol it doesn’t rain it pours, haha.  Be sure to jump on over and check out the amazing DT work and check out their personal blogs to leave them some comment lovin ;)   Each have come up with a fabulous inspiration.

Well you know when your sick nothing gets done around the house, funny how that happens?  So I better get into it.  Although this post has taken me an hour as I keep thinking, I’ll just pop a load of washing on, which then leads to cleaning the kitchen, then back here then I’ll just tidy the toys up, so really I am almost done, bahaha.

We have some sad news and some good news over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges.  The sad news is we are sadly saying good bye to Norma and Sue.  They have shared an amazing 6 months with us and have been a true inspiration each and every challenge and I truly hope they join in with us when can and wish them both all the best on their crafting adventure.

The good news is the Guest call was a HIT, a big thank you to all whom applied, we had so much talent and it was really hard to narrow it down and still some that applied will be asked to join us for a monthly guest.  But after all the looking and having a list the size of my arm we are very happy to announce that joining us for 6 months will be …. Chelsea and Jane…. They have both accepted and are willing to not start in March but from February instead as they are both just excited as the rest of us.

Well thats all from me for now, Happy Stamping and thanks so much for stopping by and take care xx.

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

Good Morning All,

Well today is Australia Day here is Australia and that means a public holiday and some a long weekend.  My hubby was lucky enough o have that and it was great to have some us time while the kiddies were away with their grandparents, they are back now can you hear them, hahaha.  My husband and I realised on our honeymoon in 2007 (been together 10 years), that in all our time together our honeymoon was the longest we would be away (7 days) with just he and I and this last weekend gets close with basically 3 days.  Just waffling on, hahaha…..

So I made another card just because, no challenges etc.  I actually got the inspiration from Debbie Pamment and just had to give the box card a go!  And here is what I cam up with…..

Calendar Challenge Journal…

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

Good Morning all,

Well I have had a bulk lot of mini calendars for a while now and always thinking to myself “must do something with at least one before January is out” and so when I got up yesterday morning I had an idea and just had to get it out and I am pretty pleased with the result as this is something I am using to keep a list of the challenges as I always need a calendar to figure out when it’s due, how long I get etc and BAM there is in on the front cover!

I am loving the Spring kit from All That Scraps, can you tell at all? hahaha..  I just made this for fun, no challenges, just plain ol fun….

Well back from my Uncles 50th, was great seeing him and the family.  I always love catching up with my aunts and uncles now that I am older we always have a good laugh together.  The party was a bit of town and we didn’t want to get home at the wee hours.  And with still no kiddies I think I might craft for a while and enjoy yet another sleep in as wont be getting again when my girls get home.

Thanks so much for stopping by and take care xx.

Friday Sketchers mixed with Charisma Cardz..

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

Good Afternoon All,

Well day 1 of kiddie free day because they have gone away with their grandparents to their beach house and I slept like a log till almost lunch time.  Has been so long since doing this and it felt great.  When I was a teenager unless I had to be somewhere no one ever saw me before lunch, haha, like ol times, hehe.  Waffling!!

So when I saw the sketch on Friday Sketchers I knew then and there I had to play it was just the idea I had in mind for my new stamp, only then I got stuck and then I didn’t and then I did and then didn’t again, lol AND I only broke the rules of the sketch once……mmmm, I think, haha….  I am also playing along with Charisma Cardz and their challenge is Fruity Colours and well the paper is very fruity if you ask me ;)   So here is the sketch….

And here is my card I made using it…..

Friday Sketchers And Chasrima Cardz

Stamps : Butterfly Emma – C.C Designs Spring Kit, Sentiment is from the kit also.  C.C Designs Cloud – Scenery Scene.

Paper : October Afternoon, Farm Fresh “borrowed some from Kristy, she OWES me, hehe” Kraft and Confetti White.

Distress Inks : Tattered Rose, Brushed Cordury, Black Soot, Fired Brick, Antique Linen and Worn Lipstick.

Other : Clear Button, Twine, White Gel Pen, Black and Cream Ribbon, Pink Brads, White Stitching and paper piercer.

I got the idea of doing her little suit like that from Lesa sample using them, thanks for the inspiration hun ;)   This didn’t turn out how I had in my head planned to use her, but I am still happy with the results, I think it feels like a different card for me because I have been using so many reds lately and this has barely any!  Still finding it hard getting out of the Christmas card fase I thinks.

Well there was a parcel at the door with some paper pads I ordered a bit ago so play time for me as I am listening to you all and done the main things, now time to PLAY and hubby is going to play golf, so house all to myself till we leave for 50th tonight.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment they brighten my day in more ways than one xx.
