So I have wanted to start something like this for a while, I think I am running out of days to schedule things for lol, but I love this lil blog of mine and if I could or more so had the time, I would blog every day, 3 times a day, I seriously would. But then I might actually run out of things to say/blog about, I know SHOCK horror, never heard of.
You know how you either catch up in person with crafty friends [even non crafty friends] or you chat on line, facebook, skype etc and a topic comes up on something you make or do. And you add something that you do every time to make things easier and the person/s turn and are shocked they never thought of that, they try your idea and WOW it really is easier!
This is my idea of this topic. Mind you I am not saying I am some Einstein, I mean I don’t have grey hair and I’m female, lol. And my tips might not always be crafty they might be a simple as something like………….. Did you know Milo and Coffee together = AHmazing! Dang there goes one already, I might run out in a month haha!
So here is my….
Tip #1 – Now I don’t think many of you would be shocked to hear that this tip is for SMASH*ing. What you will need? POST IT NOTES. Now I know I look though my SMASH* books all the time, most of the time I like looking through the new ones that I have not gotten to yet. Don’t ask me why but I do. And then every now and then I see a page that I have the perfect idea for, a week later when I sit to smash the idea, I have forgotten what it was. BUT now most of my books and even the ones I am working on a FULL of post it notes! I write the idea down, and in fact sometimes I get out my book or books and sit, just doing this, just thinking of ideas or photos that would suit and writing it on the post it note and sticking it down. Seriously this has been such a BIG help for me. Sometimes I even write more on the post it note, for example one I am reading now…..
- Photo of Heidi and Chloe
- Use Queen and Princess image from SC
- Doilies, yoyos and washi.
I wrote all that because in my head I can see them suiting the theme and this way when I get to that page [most likely this weekend haha] I know what I need to use, what image and what photo I had in mind.
Not a photo smasher? That’s ok you can still do it! Things like movie page, coffee page, top 10 page etc. It’s a really good help to get your mojo going too. Also if you aren’t going to start a book for a while, because your already working on one and you don’t want to move on until your finished, but you have all these ideas. This is how you wont forget them.
I hope this tip has helped you. xx
