I had complete plans for something totally different than what I actually came out with.  After playing and playing for an hour it was like my mojo was just not seeing what I had in mind.  So I decided to cut up a few things and this was the end smashing result…

A few of my guilty pleasures, Christmas?  Because I love to spend and get gifts for people when I just know they are going to LOVE them!

Welcome to another hop with the SMASHING SISTERS.  It feels like forever since we had the last one huh?  The girls and I decided to do them every other month, OF COURSE one would think that would make you more organised right?  WRONG, not me, I’m a leave it till last minute sort of girl, aka just did this today, and had more time than I thought I had being that we were going off Lizzie our hosts timeline and I’m in Australia and she is all the way over the ocean, so while I rushed, turns out I made it with enough time to spare.

Now onto my smashing page, it has been a while since I did a smash page, and it was fun to get back into it again, sometimes you forget just how much you miss doing something you hadn’t done in a while.  I decided to use my Blue Retro Smash Book [I bought another one because I wasn't overly happy with my first smash attempts, it was the first book I used, WHAT?  Don't act like you wouldn't do it too hehe!]  All you Australian girls can get yours HERE… at Polka Dot Creative.

I had to do this page with that photo, it’s so funny and so matching that you would almost think I got Bowzie to pose just for this page, but nope I asked her to smile actually lol.  It was taken some time last year, and that is chocolate all over her face, Kira taught her if you hold your Easter eggs near the heater they melt and taste yummy, problem is, the mess left behind all over her face.  And after telling them several times not to, Bow walked into me and the conversation went a little like….

  • Bow did you melt your eggs in front of the heater again….
  • No……
  • Are you sure?….. 
  • Yes
I lifted her to the mirror, her face had BUSTED written all over it, then her cheeky grin.
WHAT I USED : I used a bit of this and that and OH that too.  Some Echo Park stickers, Amy Tangerine stickers and alphas, butterfly punch, wooden birds and stars from Studio Calico, Tape from Angie Delarie and other bits.  NOTICE the mustache I added the the old cobber, haha.  Very suiting if you as me?  They were in a bunch of things from Norma [thank you].

Smashing Sister Blog Hop WINNER…

Sorry this is late, was meant to announce on Friday and everything just fell behind and as I have mentioned we have had the flu going about in our house hold and in fact the whole town is being hit by it.  But hubby and I started to get it Thursday and were all in bed at this house by 7pm?!  SAY WHAT, I know so not like me.  Then Friday we watched a DVD and all in bed by 8.30 on a Friday night?!  Yesterday I was in bed all day and I mean literally ALL day, I not only had the flu but got a shocker headache too, a mix of head cold and an actual headache I think.  So today is catch up on washing and school things, weekly shop and this here post.

So I will be announcing the winner of the Instax Camera tomorrow.  I didn’t want to announce both giveaway winners in the one post just in case it gets missed by some.  So look out for that email tomorrow.

Smashing Sisters Seasons BLOG HOP…

Welcome to a blog hop about seasons.  Summer, winter, spring or autumn you are bound to see it all in this hop!  A few smashing girls and I have come together for a hop and in fact we now plan on doing so bi-monthly and decided on the name “smashing sisters” which if you ask me is pretty cute is it not?

I am number one in the hop so if you have started here, there is no need to back track and only go forward.  And oh did I mention yet that there are prizes that some of the girls are giving away too?  Smashing goodies and even a Martha Stewart PLANNER, OH yeah!  So first I will waffle a little, then share my pages and then share my giveaway and THEN share who is the next smashing sister on the hop…

So I have been on some what of a crafting drought, I am sure you might had noticed my lack of anything….  And I decided to give my Amy Tangerine Daybook – The Little Things a crack that someone sent me a while back.  I loved it so much I even bought another one thinking I would use them rather quickly…… That was MONTHS ago.  And also I ordered a bunch of photos from ummmmmmm bugger name what was the name, maybe instaprints?  Will look into that one.  But they are the size of an instax photo with instagram pictures.  I wasn’t a fan till I went and stuck them all in this here book, now I think I want more! So here is what I have done so far.  I went with a bright summer feel for my season… [SOME are blurry that is my bad for leaving this till last minute as usual and they will be replaced soon.  I also would had filed and painted my nails had I know I was going to be showing my fingers, lol]…

I actually thought being that I use a smash book a lot that this would be BULKY as anything when I started adding things and while it is, it still closes really well.

Page one is ME.  And I wanted to share the gorgeous pink camera by Angie Delarie who is another sister on the smashing sister team.

ME again, just a closer look at some of the things that I have used.

A page to soon replace, but this is my gorgeous girl Pippa.  She might had chewed another one of my shoes this morning making it now the 3rd pair [saying through gritted teeth] but I just can’t stay mad at her for very long, I actually think she is cluing on to that.

This was Bowzie at Heidi’s birthday party earlier this year in March and another that is blurry sorry :S  Amy Tangerine stickers came in handy with this even not being from the same release.

I seriously LOVE our balcony and everyone that comes up usually always comments on it.  Even people just dropping things off for hubby as I would had mentioned he is a sexy courier, hehe.

Was so proud this moment for my gorgeous little sister and her graduation of fashion.  It makes her think she knows how I should dress also, haha.

Keeping with early March here is Heidi on her birthday with her face painted as a cat.

Kira we are either trying to kill each other or laughing and pulling jokes.  This night it was pulling jokes and I just love this photo of her, she’s such a dag just like me!

This page is of my crazy sister and just as crazy daughter haha!  The little flower with a button was a gift from Yani who is alos on the hop.

I managed to use a lot of stickers, Angie Delarie Embellisgments, Amy Tangerine Sketchbook embellishments and bits and bobs as you can see from above.

My Week Through Instagram

It’s Friday, it’s Friday, well in Australia it is.  There is something I love about Friday’s not overly sure what it is, maybe it’s because everyone is so much more laid back knowing the weekend is basically give or take here once they knock off.  Maybe it’s because every Friday after I pick the girls up we head to the local videoland and hire a bunch of DVDs.  And we always have takeout and we ALWAYS pick Macca’s, we are a bunch of macca’s gals here.  Hubby often gets something else, he gets over it quickly, why I haven’t yet I have no idea.  BUT I just love Friday’s!  And here is my week through instagram…

  • My sister and I at my 30th party.  I had intended to take a photo of everyone there with my instax I even bought film for it and this is almost as far as I got then forgot all about it.
  • This is my cake that I made.  We call it Chocolate Ripple cake, Kristy will argue with me that it’s cookie cake, it’s so not called that haha!  I made it PINK of course!  And it was a huge hit, everyone loved it.  Lucky I only made it the night before I had forgotten all about it haha!
  • I got this awesome necklace that I am wearing today as it happens from a voucher the gorgeous Krista bought for me from Mod Cloth and I loooooove it!
  • This is my wee little adorable nephew that I don’t think could get any cuter!
  • I seen these on a blog I follow and just knew I had to have a set!
  • Bashy added to my owl collection of one by making it now two.
  • Kristy and I before going out to my 30th.  She only had about 20min to get ready, haha she did real good!
  • I got a Pandora bracelet from Carrie and Stace and a friendship charm from them both.  I am so lucky am I not?  I then text Kristy a picture of the tiger glass bead and she picked up one for me on her way [hence her being late, haha].  And I couldn’t help myself on Monday I just went to check what was there and walked out with the camera and turquoise coloured glass bead.
  • Stace and I before heading to the 30th venue.  She flew all the way down from warm and sunny Townsville for me to cold and miserable Seymour for me.

And that right there is my week through instagram, my favourite all time app on my phone!

Nothing like stating that I will keep up to date on things and then fall behind the very next day, but to be honest that is me in a nutshell.  I can catch up on all the washing in the house and claim I am going to stick with it and then a week goes by and two loads are waiting yet again, it really is a circle of MY life.

School holidays always make me fall behind on what we are doing, meant to be done etc.  And especially yesterday with my Bowzie being sick and waking most of the night before.  She would go through burst of 2-3 hours being good and then feel off and cry and be my little baby girl.  Heidi has a cough, of course they get sick at the start of school holidays, just had to happen.  But Heidi is on the mend and coughing a LOT less today.

BUT I do have to get to the winner from the Aussie Girls SMASH* Blog Hop where the winner will be getting a MINI SMASH* BOOK.  If you don’t have one, I really recommend it.  I thought I hated mine, but once I started I am in LOVE with it.  And I think I might actually get to the finish.  SORRY side tracked.  The lucky winner is : -

Aussie Girls SMASH* Blog Hop…

Ok so this might be a smidgen late compared to the other girls, what can I say?  Wouldn’t be me if I wasn’t late right?

So a few girls and I got together to host a mini little hop and we are all from Australia, just for a bit of fun.  We have Emma from Victoria, Karyn from South Australia, Angie from Western Australia, Karen from Tasmania and Sammi from Sydney (New South Wales).  So we are almost from all parts of our country.  OH and we have ME, a Victorian girl like Emma.  It has been so much fun getting this together and chatting and sharing our obsession with the craze that is taking over my crafting life as you would all know if you read my blog.

Some of us have decided to offer a little prize too.  EXCITING I know.  To enter you have to follow the terms that each Aussie smasher has left as we might have different ways to enter.  MINE is simple, leave a comment on this here post and you are taking part to WIN.  I will get to the prize in a moment.  For now let’s get to me smash page.  I actually started this page when I was staying at Kristy’s for a smash weekend but never got around to finishing it.  And considering my loss of mojo it was great to get back into it and I already want to smash some more…..  I think it’s the colder weather that is putting me off.

Bow was making this face one time when I had to make a hour trip during the day for something, just her and me, and I changed the song she liked hehe.  You just got to laugh and love the faces kids can make.

I seriously used a bunch of things from many places.  It’s funny how it’s a smaller version, yet I can still fit so much in there.  The owl from Angie was the PERFECT touch the page as I felt it needed that little something more and I popped him down and LOVED it…
